Welcome to the website of Bed and Breakfast de Hoffstal. This former stable from 1928, now renovated into a B&B, is located in one of the oldest avenues in the village of Sassenheim in the municipality of Teylingen. The luxurious rooms have their own bathroom, air conditioning, TV and free Wi-Fi. Breakfast is prepared in a cozy basket. Each room has its own fridge. You can enjoy breakfast in your room.

Because of its central location along the A44, Sassenheim is an excellent base for a multi-day stay with many opportunities for excursions and activities throughout the year. Within walking distance of the B&B you will find a shopping center with lots of good restaurants and the beautiful Park Rusthoff. Sassenheim also has a train station, along the Schiphol line. Amsterdam, Leiden, The Hague and Rotterdam are easily and quickly to reach from here. The Kagerplassen, the dunes, the beach, the bulb fields and, last but not least, the Keukenhof Flower Park are all within cycling distance. Numerous cycling and walking tours are possible in this Dune and Bulb region with its charming villages such as Lisse, Noordwijk, Noordwijkerhout, Katwijk, Leiden and Haarlem. B&B de Hoffstal is also within walking distance of the route of the annual Flower Parade of the Bollenstreek held in April each year.

Keukenhof Lisse
The Keukenhof is one of the most famous tourist attractions in the Netherlands. In the spring this park changes into a beautiful sea of ​​flowers of tulips, daffodils and hyacinths. Don't forget to visit Keukenhof Castle. From our B&B the Keukenhof is easily accessible by car (12 min.) And by bike (25 min.)

The seaside resort of Noordwijk is located about 8 kilometers from our B&B. Ideal for a bike ride, but also easy to reach by car for a day at the beach. Stormy weather? Then visit the Space Expo space museum, the official visitor center of ESA ESTEC.

Leiden
Leiden offers a range of special shops, where you will be happy to go shopping for a day. The Haarlemmerstraat is Leiden's main shopping street with many large retail chains. The Pieterskwartier, the historic district around Pieterskerk, with its narrow streets and lanes, is also called the Quartier Latin of Leiden. Also at the Burgsteeg, Nieuwstraat, Hogewoerd and Doezastraat you have plenty of choice to shop. On Wednesdays and Saturdays you will find a market on the quays of the Botermarkt, Vismarkt, Aalmarkt and Nieuwe Rijn.
